L543 (Plan of care) and L545 (Content of the plan of care) remained the top two deficiencies in the 2014 fiscal year, according to CMS data provided to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. There were 4,237 providers last year, and about 2% were cited due to issues with L543.
