Corrected cutpoints have been updated to the quality of patient care star rating preview reports for home health agencies, according to CMS.

The reports are now available in CASPER and reflect the information that will appear in the October 2019 refresh for star ratings determination.

The correction was needed because there was an error affecting the reporting of the claims-based measures "Acute care hospitalization" and "Emergency department use without hospitalization," according to CMS. There were no changes to the other measures on the report.

This report replaces the one that had been issued on July 12 and will remain available to providers for only 90 days.

Home health providers should save a copy of the preview reports in order to reference them at a later time.
