A list of vendors conditionally approved to administer the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) hospice survey, as well as a survey authorization form, has been posted on the survey's website. 
 
Hospices need to work with vendors to submit data from the 47-question survey to avoid a 2% payment reduction starting in 2017, CMS representatives have stated.
 
Hospices must spend at least a month during the first quarter of 2015 testing the survey. On April 1, 2015, they must begin submitting surveys on a monthly basis.
