Dry run of HHCAHPS Star Ratings is coming next month

Home health agencies will be able to obtain an HHCAHPS preview report next month that will, for the first time, include a dry run of HHCAHPS Star Ratings.

The public won’t be able to view the report when it is made available to agencies the Friday before or after Labor Day, according to an announcement during CMS' home health, hospice and durable medical equipment open door forum Aug. 12.

HHCAHPS Star Ratings will, however, be publicly available on the Home Health Compare website in January 2016.

Next month’s dry run will give agencies an idea of what preview reports will look like when HHCAHPS data is listed in addition to star ratings.
