A new bill filed in the U.S. House would require CMS to consider a patient’s entire record — including the home health agency’s medical record — when determining whether a patient is eligible to receive home health care.
The “Home Health Documentation and Program Improvement Act of 2017” was introduced in the House on May 25. It was sponsored by Rep. Kenny Marchant, R-Texas, and cosponsored by Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Oregon.
GovTrack, a nonprofit bill tracking service, gives the bill a 1% chance of being enacted.
