Among the seven Hospice Item Set (HIS) measures posted on Hospice Compare, providers improved the most on “Hospice and palliative care pain assessment” during the May 2019 refresh.
Hospices scored 89.2% on the measure. By comparison hospices only scored 87.8% on the measure in February 2019.
HIS data were collected between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.
