CMS posts first user manual for measures calculations and reporting in quality program

Agencies can now review a user manual for Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP) measures calculations and reporting.

This is the first time CMS has posted such a manual. It’s effective August 2019.

The manual includes methods used to calculate the different quality measures included in the HHQRP and reported on Home Health Compare.

Definitions, inclusion and exclusion criteria and measure calculations are included for each quality measure.
