FAQs on the Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) tool now available

CMS released two documents to answer questions and provide additional information about the Hospice Outcomes & Patient Evaluation (HOPE) tool.

There are currently ongoing efforts to develop the new patient assessment tool for hospices.

One of the documents details frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers about patient assessment tools and HOPE. The second document, called "HOPE Fundamentals," outlineds differences between the Hospice Item Set (HIS) and the current expectation for HOPE.
