CMS is working to incorporate new improvements to Home Health Compare and other Compare tools to help patients find health care providers in various settings around the care continuum.
Currently, when users visit Medicare.gov, they have eight different Compare tools to go to — Hospital, Nursing Home, Home Health, Dialysis Facility, Long-term Care Hospital, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, Physician and Hospice — each which operates independently with varying interfaces.
In order to make this process simpler and smoother for users, CMS plans to combine these eight Compare tools giving users one point of entry for find their information.
Later this year, CMS will launch a new online platform designed to make finding and comparing care even easier for consumers. These enhancements will also be helpful to industry stakeholders who search data that are important to them.
