CMS updates to processing claims for hospice beneficiaries

Chapter 11 of the Medicare Claims Processing Manual (Pub 100-04) has been updated by CMS with the new Transmittal 1073/Change Request (CR) 11807.

The change request (CR) makes updates to the manual language regarding submitting notice of termination/revocation, processing professional claims for hospice beneficiaries and the section about the data required on the institutional claims in Chapter 11, sections 20.1.2, 30.3 and 40.2 of the Medicare Claims Processing Manual, according to CMS.

The effective date is September 7, 2020.
