CMS has unveiled Care Compare, a redesign of eight existing health care compare tools.

According to CMS, Care Compare offers a user-friendly interface that “patients and caregivers can use to make informed decisions about health care based on cost, quality of care, volume of services and other data.”

The measures and data that Care Compare uses have not been changed but now information is displayed differently. As CMS gathers feedback and considers additional tool improvements, consumers and stakeholders can still use the original eight compare tools.
