As states are fleshing out their COVID-19 vaccination plans, a committee advising the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccines will hold an emergency meeting Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is tasked with advising the CDC on coronavirus vaccine distribution, reports CNN, including who should get the vaccine and when.

In recent weeks, state heatlh officials across the country have been making their own determinations about how to phase in vaccine distribution. Last week, Texas health officials announced plans to vaccinate health care workers first, and noted that would include home health workers, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Many states have moved to prioritize health care workers, but have been slow to clarify whether that includes those working in the home.
