The new federal holiday on Friday, June 18, will impact some Medicare payment processing, according to an alert from Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto GBA.
In observance of the Juneteenth Federal Holiday, Medicare financial cycles were not processed on Friday, June 18, 2021, the MAC told providers in its 16 states.
“As a result, no Medicare payments will be issued on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Payments dated Monday, June 21, 2021, will not be impacted. Payments will resume on Wednesday, June 23, 2021,” according to the alert.
