CMS releases January 2022 OASIS quarterly Q&As

Agencies can expect to see an updated OASIS-E draft in early 2022 in preparation for the Jan. 1, 2023 implementation date, CMS states in its first quarter OASIS Q&As, released Jan. 18.

The January Q&As include 14 questions covering topics such as:

Guidance around how OASIS item M1242 should be coded
How to determine codes for M2020 and M2030 in situations where patients cannot demonstrate their ability to take oral or injectable medications
Guidance around GG item GG0170
