CMS has updated the individual data for home health providers at Care Compare, the publicly reported data now includes two new measures.

Visitors to the site will now see results for:
  • “How often a patient’s functional abilities were assessed at admission and discharge and functional goals were included in their care plan (higher percentages are better)”
  • “How often patients experienced one or more falls with major injury (lower percentages are better)”
While OASIS and patient survey data has been updated, two important components have not been updated with the April refresh.
  • Claims-based measures have been frozen since November 2020 and will not be updated until the July 2022 refresh.
  • Due to a system issue, CMS is keeping “services offered” information unchanged from the January refresh.
