Home health care services add 12,000 jobs in July

Home health care services added 12,000 jobs in July, according to the latest estimates by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

That brings the total number of jobs in the sector to more than 1.627 million, compared to 1.535 million reported in July 2022.

Overall, health care added 63,000 jobs in July, compared to the average monthly increase of 51,000 in the past year, according to the BLS.

Gains in July include 16,100 new jobs in hospitals and 11,500 jobs added in nursing and residential care facilities.
