CMS releases OASIS training video for BIMS

CMS has released a new training video to help with the Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS) assessment as part of the OASIS.

“BIMS and BIMS Summary Score: Stopping and Coding an Incomplete Interview” is a 3-minute, animated explainer video for home health providers.

The video is expected to help accurately determine when the BIMS should be stopped, and how to code the remaining items in this situation.
