CMS has released national data on health equity in post-acute care, looking at discharge rates and per-beneficiary costs based on race and Medicaid status.
Last fall, CMS released confidential feedback reports to individual agencies with their results compared to providers of similar services nationally.
The new data released Aug. 14 shares national data across post-acute settings.
The findings show non-white home health patients were discharged to the community at lower rates than white patients. Similar differences were seen in long-term hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
