Agencies can now access preview reports for Care Compare’s January 2025 refresh in iQIES.
Three OASIS-based measures have been added to public reporting for the January 2025 refresh:
- Transfer of Health Information to the Patient
- Transfer of Health Information to the Provider
- Discharge Function Score
OASIS data in the January refresh is updated through March 2024.
The January refresh also includes the removal of Application of Percent of Long Term Care Hospital Patients with an Admission and Discharge Functional Assessment and a Care Plan that Addresses Function Process.
October refresh soon
Later this month, CMS is expected to update Care Compare with the October refresh. This refresh includes OASIS-based and claims-based data from the full 2023 calendar year.
This refresh will include the removal of two measures:
- Acute Care Hospitalization During the First 60 days of Home Health (ACH)
- Emergency Department (ED) Use without Hospitalization During the First 60 Days of Home Health
With that move, the Home Health Within-Stay Potentially Preventable Hospitalization (PPH) measure has been added to the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating calculations.
