Home health care services added jobs in February, but at a much slower pace than we saw a year ago, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
There were 4,100 new home health jobs recorded in the month, down from 12,900 reported in February 2024.
Overall, the health care sector added 52,000 jobs last month, with hospitals adding nearly 15,000 jobs, nursing homes adding 11,500 jobs and physicians’ offices adding 10,800 jobs.
Home health care services now account for 1.84 million jobs, according to the BLS.
