In April, employers reportedly hired an estimated 10,800 new workers in home health care services, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). That’s on top of the nearly 7,000 additional jobs reported in March.
By comparison, the BLS estimates that hospitals added just 4,300 jobs and physicians' offices added 2,300 jobs.
Overall, home health care services reportedly has nearly 1.87 million jobs, roughly 100,000 more than the BLS estimates for April 2025.
