The former owner of a Pennsylvania home care agency was sentenced to up to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to Medicaid fraud and theft, according to a press release published by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General on Aug. 20. 
 
Stephanie Mobley owned ComfortZone Home Health Care, LLC, based in Montgomery County, Penn., from 2020 to 2023. During this period, Mobley engaged in kickback arrangements, assigned fake caregivers to clients, submitted claims for services that weren’t provided and recruited clients to participate in fraudulent action, according to a Department of Justice release. In total, Mobley and nineteen others defrauded Medicaid of $1.76 million.  
 
Mobley faces between 17 months and 10 years in prison and was directed to provide Medicaid with restitution for the millions of dollars stolen.
