Home-based employers lead all health care settings in August hiring

Home health care employers add 11,300 jobs in August, more than any other health care setting, according to the latest estimates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In total, the home health care services workforce includes 1.896 million, compared to estimates of 1.806 million at the same point last year.

By comparison, hospitals added just 7,600 jobs in August, while nursing and residential care facilities actually lost 1,800 jobs last month.
