During a medical review, one of the first things an auditor will check is the timeliness of the face-to-face encounter. You can use this tool to make sure patients admitted during the fourth quarter had a timely face-to-face encounter. If not, make sure that you're scheduling that visit in the 30-day window after the start-of-care visit.
