Home care groups and hospital networks commenting on CMS’ proposed amendments for accountable care organizations (ACOs) in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) like the idea of granting ACOs the right to claim home health payments for care of non-homebound patients. CMS proposed this concept for its new test of how acute and post-acute providers can work together to reduce hospitalizations.
