Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) has introduced a bill intended to relieve physicians and home health agencies of CMS’s current face-to-face regulations. As introduced June 23 with bipartisan sponsorship, the bill, among other things, would require CMS to develop — in consultation with stakeholders — a standardized form to collect evidence that a beneficiary is eligible for home health services.

But don’t get your hopes up; GovTrack, a nonprofit bill tracking service, gives the bill only a 2% chance of clearing the Senate Finance Committee and a 1% chance of receiving full Senate approval. A companion House bill also faces similar odds.
