Medicare administrative contractors’ local coverage determinations (LCDs) with ICD-10 codes are available for you to review on the CMS coverage database website. You’ll need to know what codes MACs require for billing in ICD-10.

Here’s how to find your LCDs:

Once you are on the database site, click on the link labeled “Indexes.” You’ll see separate bars for national coverage and local coverage. Click on the plus sign next to “local coverage.”

This will open up a list of options for LCDs, articles and contacts. Click on “LCDs by state."

Under “LCDs by State Index Browser,” select your state. Then under “document types to further refine your search by,” click only the box next to “Future LCDs/Future contract number LCDs.” Click “Submit.

This will bring up a table of contractor options for your state.

Select an option under "Home health and hospice MAC / regional home health intermediaries."

Scroll down to find the full list of future LCDs for your state. The policies with a 10/1/15 effective date include ICD-10 codes. Using the arrows in the header, you can sort by policy ID, title, etc. If you wish to download or print the policies, you can use the “select” boxes next to the policies you want.
