On Dec. 29, CMS released its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage for the home health value-based purchasing demonstration. Based on that information, HHL compiled this quick reference table of dates to help agencies prepare for these new requirements.

Early 2016
 
Technical specifications of calculated measures that are not currently on the CMS website will be provided.
January 2016
A CMS webinar will be scheduled to provide information about the measures used in the first year of the demonstration, including the measure specifications for the coordination of care and prior functioning measures. A list of questions related to each of the new measures also will be available in PDF format on HHVBP Connect, CMS’ learning and diffusion website.
March 2016
The home health value-based purchasing (HHVBP) Secure Portal will be available to agencies.
April 2016
 
CMS will make available benchmarks and achievement thresholds for the OASIS measures.
July 2016
 
CMS will make available benchmarks and achievement thresholds for the HHCAHPS measures and the claims measures. Also, agencies will receive their first quarterly performance reports.
July 1, 2016
Data collection begins for new value-based measures.
Oct. 1, 2016
Data for new value-based measures should be entered in the secure portal for the period covering July 1 through Sept. 30, 2016.
