OASIS-C2 is the regulatory change that has had the biggest impact on agencies’ productivity in 2017, the results of a new DecisionHealth survey show.

On average, according to survey respondents, RNs conduct 4.87 visits per day this year.

Last year RNs conducted 5.03 daily visits.

The 127 respondents to DecisionHealth’s 2017 Home Health Clinician Productivity Survey were provided a dozen options and asked what regulatory change has had the biggest impact on their agency’s productivity in the past year. OASIS-C2, which began Jan. 1, drew 24% of the response.

More than 70% of survey respondents said OASIS-C2 took clinicians at least 5 minutes longer to complete a start-of-care assessment during the first few months after OASIS-C2 began.
