CMS has published supporting documents for the OASIS-D revision, giving providers a clearer picture of the major changes coming to the assessment, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

Among the new documents is an all-item set version of OASIS-D as well as analysis of the burden CMS believes the new assessment will have. Note: At press time CMS had not yet posted a comparison of OASIS-C2 and OASIS-D and an itemized list of data elements, though both were referenced as available attachments. These documents were given directly to DecisionHealth upon request.

CMS sent out a request for comments published in the March 12 Federal Register but had not released supporting documentation or an updated OASIS document at that time.

CMS is accepting comments through May 11, 2018.
