Bruce Greenstein, chief technology officer with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is headed to the private sector.
 
Greenstein will take on a new role as chief innovation and technology officer at Lafayette, La.-based home health care services company LHC Group, the company announced. He is slated to assume the new role in June.
 
Greenstein served as the HHS chief technology officer for about a year. He confirmed his departure from the position a blog post.
 
“Bruce is internationally recognized as a respected leader and innovator in the healthcare industry — a combination which makes him a perfect addition to our management team today as LHC Group continues leading the way in a growth industry,” Keith G. Myers, LHC Group’s chairman and CEO, said in a release.
 
LHC Group recently concluded a merger with Almost Family, Inc. and now has locations in 37 states.
