CMS recently updated home health agencies about changes they can expect this summer on the Care Compare site, along with additional training planned around the OASIS-E delay. The update came during an open door forum call with providers April 13.

With the July 2021 refresh, five home health measures will be removed from Care Compare, according to CMS officials.

Those measures include the depression assessment conducted, diabetic foot care and patient/caregiver education implemented during all episodes of care, multifactor fall risk assessment conducted for all patients who can ambulate, pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine ever received, and improvement in status of surgical wounds.

Public reporting data remains frozen through 2021 due to the public health emergency.

CMS also noted that, due to the delay of OASIS-E, there will be an interim update of key guidance, with a training call and distribution of materials this summer to review key guidance affected by the delay.
