National Government Services (NGS) has updated home health providers following a RAP-related system error impacting Low-Utilization Payment Adjustment (LUPA) claims.
 
In an email update Thursday afternoon, the Medicare administrative contractor reported that a workaround had been implemented to resolve an error with reason codes 39929 (claim level) and 37363 (line level), indicating incorrectly that RAPs had been submitted beyond timeliness limits.
 
Claims that were previously denied in error will be reprocessed within 30 days, NGS said.
