CMS and contractor Abt Associates are making a final call for participants for a new technical expert panel (TEP) for the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) expanded model.

Expected to meet for the first time in October, the TEP will continue for several years, with one in-person meeting and up to three teleconferences each year.

The group will consider refinements to the measures and scoring methodology used in the expanded model, as well as the potential for health equity considerations and ways to improve performance reporting.

CMS is looking for “individuals with differing perspectives and areas of expertise, such as home health, health equity, measure development, performance measurement, quality of care or value-based purchasing,” according to the call for participants. “We are interested in representatives from patient advocacy groups, clinical and administrative staff from home health providers, and methodologists and researchers.”
