Employers in home health care services added 5,900 jobs in November, continuing a climb for the industry, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

That’s below the 9,900 jobs added in October, as well as the 12-month average of near 8,900 jobs.

In comparison, health care hiring overall, adding 76,800 jobs in November, marked a sharp increase in hiring month-over-month and bested the 12-month average.

Home health care services now account for 1.67 million jobs, with 17.2 million health care jobs overall.
