Employers in home health care services added an estimated 12,900 jobs in February, according to the latest figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
 
That’s down from an estimated 16,600 jobs added in January (adjusted up from what was reported last month). The monthly average over the prior 12 months is 9,225, based on BLS data.
 
Overall, health care added 67,000 jobs in February, above the average monthly gain of 58,000 over the prior 12 months.
 
Home health care services now account for nearly 1.71 million jobs.
