Home health care services added 10,600 jobs in January, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
 
Hospitals added 13,900 jobs, nursing facilities added 13,200 jobs and physicians offices added 2,200 jobs, according to the BLS.
Some health care employment areas reported fewer jobs, including outpatient care centers.
 
Home health job growth is down from the 15,100 jobs reported in January 2024. Overall, the BLS estimates home health care services currently includes more than 1.836 million jobs, adding 155,500 jobs over the past year.
