Review your Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) performance reports after CMS announced it has updated figures impacting payments for 2026.

CMS released the HHVBP preliminary Annual Performance Reports (APR) on Sept. 30, 2025, providing each agency with its planned rate adjustment for next year.

All home health agencies will receive a payment adjustment of up to 5%, higher or lower, based on their 2024 performance on key OASIS, claims and HHCAHPS measures.

The preliminary annual report, available in iQIES, follows the preview reports released in August. The final report is expected later this year.

As a result of the recalculation request process, CMS adjusted the APR data used for agencies in the larger-volume cohort — those agencies that must participate in HHCAHPS surveys.

This adjustment resulted in a slightly higher payment adjustment for some agencies, according to CMS.

The deadline for submitting a reconsideration request is Oct. 15, 2025.
