CMS has updated Care Compare with the July 2026 refresh that includes a full calendar year of HHCAHPS data.
 
National survey results have not moved, with the notable exception of the response rate, which fell from 23% to 22%.
 
National averages on publicly reported survey measures include:
  • Percent of patients who reported that their home health team gave care in a professional way: 89%
  • Percent of patients who reported that their home health team communicated well with them: 86%
  • Percent of patients who reported that their home health team discussed medicines, pain, and home safety with them: 82%
  • Percent of patients who gave their home health agency a rating of 9 or 10 on a scale from 0 (lowest) to 10 (highest): 85%
  • Percent of patients who reported YES, they would definitely recommend the home health agency to friends and family: 79%
The update also captures quality assessment data from October 2024 through September 2025. Claims-based measures are updated annually with the fall refresh.
