A new Technical Expert Panel (TEP) is expected to begin developing a new interoperability measure for use in post-acute care quality reporting, according to CMS.

Nominations for the TEP are due by Feb. 18, 2025. The group is expected to begin work later this month or in March.

The TEP will include approximately 12-15 individuals who will provide guidance on concepts for the measure, according to the CMS announcement.

It’s expected to include clinical experts in post-acute care, electronic health record exchange processes, interoperability, measure development and more.

Selected nominees can expect to be contacted on an annual, biannual or as needed, basis to participate in the standing committee, CMS says.
