Agencies now have access to confidential health equity feedback reports that compare measure outcomes between Medicare-Medicaid dually enrolled patients and non-duals, as well as between non-White and White patients.

Now available in iQIES, the reports include results from home health stays in 2021 and 2022, with agencies receiving a categorization describing how the patient populations performed statistically significantly “better than,” “no different than” or “worse than” the comparison group in terms of discharge to community and Medicare spending per beneficiary.

For example, “better than the national rate” for non-White patients on the discharge to community page indicates that your agency’s results for that specific population are statistically significantly higher than the national rate.

Agencies can review the results for all patients and specific patient populations compared to the performance of agencies nationwide and regionally, as well as the results between patient populations within the individual agency.

CMS hopes that agencies will use these results to develop strategies to reduce the impact of social risk factors for their patients.
