This document contains CMS’ draft OASIS-C1/ICD-9 version item set, which becomes effective Jan. 1, 2015. It is similar to OASIS-C1, except that it reverts to OASIS-C items that can accommodate ICD-9 codes. This interim version is expected to be in use until Oct. 1, 2015, when ICD-10 is supposed to go into effect along with the OASIS-C1 version that allows for ICD-10 codes.

Hospices would receive a 1.3% increase in Medicare payments in fiscal year 2015 under CMS’ proposed wage index, according to the proposed rule. The South Atlantic and East North Central regions are among those that receive less than a 1.3% increase while the Pacific and Outlying regions would receive more.
